Tsunami Preparedness: Are You in the Zone?

As a lead up to California’s 2024 Tsunami Preparedness Week (March 23-31), the 2024 tsunami awareness and preparedness webinar was led by experts and leaders from the California Geological Survey, California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, City/County of San Francisco, and Earthquake Country Alliance. Attendees learned about tsunami hazards in California – what they are, where they originate, tsunami hazard maps, and more. The webinar also covered tsunami alert and warning safety messaging, as well as what to do before, during, and after a tsunami occurs.
