Participants at this workshop in Newport Beach learned about tsunami preparedness, earthquake information tools, and how we all can encourage collaborative science, engineering, and preparedness policy.
This workshop explored tsunami and earthquake hazards – including lessons from the Dec. 5 Cape Mendocino earthquake and tsunami warning, Marin County’s response and local hazards, plus ECA activities and opportunities in 2025.
This special event will raise awareness of what can happen during earthquakes and how we can all improve safety and resilience. The event will be hosted by the Murrieta Public Library with support from the Statewide California Earthquake Center, RomaScope, Earthquake Country Alliance, and many others.
