Media Bureau
Purpose is to organize, coordinate, and communicate messaging and communications to be shared with media and all partners. This includes planning for and carrying out events where the media are invited to hear new information as well as interview subject matter experts, scientists, and elected officials. Members are PIOs or PR personnel recruited from government agencies, businesses, non-profits and elected offices to simplify messaging, develop media timelines, create press releases/advisories, coordinate social media, streamline content for ECA websites, and target specific deliverables for campaigns such as the Great ShakeOut and Tsunami Week which encourage annual participation and registration
